I posted on the Deadline Dames today and opened the blog for questions! Come on over and tell the Dames what's on your mind.
But I totally forgot to mention that MAGIC IN THE BLOOD is now officially available in the UK! Whoo-hoo! That is so awesome. It makes me feel all tingly and intercontinental.
To celebrate the release day (which was, a-hem, the 2nd of July) I am giving away three copies of MAGIC IN THE BLOOD. I'll ship anywhere. Just leave a comment here on my blog: http://devonmonk.livejournal.com/ (for those of you reading this through my web page). If you've already won a copy of my book, or are related to me, you can't enter.
Contest* Give away ends Thursday July 9th at midnight PST.
I'm still super excited about my upcoming signing on July 18th at Escape Fiction in Salem, Oregon! Team Seattle--Mark Henry, Richelle Mead, Cherie Priest, Caitlin Kittridge and Kat Richardson will be there too!
Please come by and show a great local bookstore, and Team Seattle (who are driving down just for the event) your support. The more people who show up, the more fun this party's going to be!! Plus, we'll have cheesecake! You don't want to leave six authors alone with only four cheesecakes, 'cause you know somebody's gonna get sporked.
*edited to make sense :)
The random number generator has spoken! And the winners are:
shtteredglass who said: "count me in for the contest! I read your 1st book (and loved it!) but haven't gotten to the 2nd yet."
blodeuedd83 who said: "Congrats on the UK release :) Since I haven't read them yet I would love to enter this"
and
https://me.yahoo.com/bbricke#da2e4 who said: "Enter me please, I can't wait to read this book."
Please contact me with your mailing addresses at: devon_monk AT yahoo DOT com
Congrats winners! Thanks, everyone for entering!

Congratulations on the UK release MAGIC IN THE BLOOD. Please enter me in your contest. :)
Also have a great time at the book signing on July 18th with all those other superbly talented writers. (There must be something in the water in Seattle).

PS - I loved "sporked" :)
Thank you for being generous and giving us a chance to receive it. In Turkey we can't get our hands on many original books.
I would like to see you all at the book signing and I would love some cheesecake, but I'm to far away. :-(
But I hope you all have fun.
Love to win a copy of your book too. :)
I'd love it if you came down!
Sway a Swede to start reading you with a free copy? ;)
I humbly request entrance into your give-away event
Thank you for sharing the joy of your event with readers.
Actually, I'm not Rachel Vincent's critique partner. We are both Deadline Dames, though. Her crit partner is Rinda Elliot, an awesome writer, great person (and also a Dame.)
:)
Please add me to your contest pool. I loved Magic to the Bone and I'm betting Magic in the Blood will be just as great. Congratulations on the UK release.

(and I've got you down for the drawing.)
Got you entered in the give away, and I'll draw winners on the 9th.
I can't wait to read, even if i'm at the bottom of the list, still, you rock.
<333
Woot,
Read the first, but I don't think the second is quite out here yet (Australia). Soon, I think, but count me in for the contest please! :-)
Oh, and I've got you in for this give away. I'll pull the winners on the 9th. :)
If you are going to be going around to Cons, please consider going to CONvergence in Minneapolis, MN.
It's an awesome Con with great people and it's a lot of fun.
I think you'd enjoy it a lot!
Anyway, if I'm ever in the Seattle area, I will be sure to come meet you and have your books signed because I'm all sparkly to meet my favourite authors and have my books inked by them. :)
K.
And you're in for this drawing. I'll pull a winner on Thursday.
:)
This is Annjeanette (A.M.) Thompson from the Multiple Lazy Voices.
*sigh* I need to move to Oregon or Washington state as they have all the book conventions. Grrr...
And yes, come to the Northwest. We have cookies. And authors.
Since this is term Papers' week for me i could definitely use a contest to change my mind.
Thanks for the opportunity
Next thing you know the book will make it to the French bookstores =) i really hope so!
Good luck with the term paper!

Please count me in on the competition stakes.

Thank you! I put your name in the hat for the giveaway and I'll draw winners Thursday.
:o)
(and I have you down for the giveaway. Winners will be posted on Thursday.)
My husband says Salem is too far away from Astoria for us to be likely to make it to the signing, since we're driving down and back for the family reunion that day. :(
Yeah, that's a bit of a drive. Especially with little ones.
I put you in for the give away, and I'll pull winners on Thursday.
*dons her Donkey costume and jumps up and down*
Pick me! Pick me! Pick me!
You're in for the drawing and I'll pull winners on Thursday.
